Who is Evil Mizu?

I’m Evil Mizu (or Michelle)! Evil Mizu was a nickname my dad gave me when I was little and it just kind of stuck! I’m an SF-based, 2nd generation Chinese-American artist, and not even THAT evil.

What type of art do you make?

I specialize in digital illustrations, posters, and cartoon characters! I draw heavily from vintage cartoon styles, silliness, and San Francisco for inspiration.

Speaking of which, what IS the point of your art huh?

One of the main ways I interpret and navigate the world is through humor, so the goal with a lot of my art is to highlight that in a visual form to share! I WANT you to laugh at my art! But I also hope it accurately captures and highlights the specific feelings to whatever place, bus, etc… so that it can also stand as a valuable souveineir of the more everyday part of our lives.
